The Small Fakers & The Kinx

SMALL FAKERS:

The Small Fakers were officially launched on a chilly night in February 2007 at a central London shindig attended by fans and associates of the East End's very own fab four, the seminal, sensational Small Faces!

Today, The Small Fakers are established in the Premiership of tribute acts. They have built a terrific international reputation for themselves as the ONLY Small Faces tribute band in the WORLD, and have played to sell-out audiences in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Republic of Ireland, and all over the UK. They have played the Isle of Wight festival four times since forming, and in 2008, the day after headlining the festival with his fellow Sex Pistols, bass player Glen Matlock joined The Fakers onstage to perform what many people regard at the Small Faces’ ultimate track, their 1966 number one ‘All Or Nothing’.

The Kinx

It’s difficult to believe but within a year of their first unadvertised gig, The Kinx had headlined theatres, supported original 60’s bands (The Fortunes, Gerry & The Pacemakers & The Move), performed on the main stages of Britain’s top tribute festivals …… and secured a recording contract.
With three albums to their name & endorsement from non other than Dave Davies himself, The Kinx quickly established themselves as England’s premier Kinks tribute act. Now, almost 10 years into their career, they can also boast having their music included in major international film releases and performing as joint headliners with such diverse original artists as Chris Farlowe, Steve Ellis, Secret Affair, The Foundations, Marmalade, Marty Wilde, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Mike D’Abo & The Merseybeats.
Paying attention to every minute detail, adopting the classic early 1960’s dandy, red hunting jacket image, Ray Davies’s timeless classics (including Waterloo Sunset, Lola, Sunny Afternoon, Days, You Really Got Me, David Watts) are performed sympathetically and brought to life by four passionate Kinks fans. Performing Ray’s brilliant & varied song book to incredibly receptive audiences, it’s no wonder the line up of the Kinx has remained totally unchanged since that very first show back in 2008.

Plus Deejays Mod 'N' Soul spinning tunes.
